The Shriken is a light fighter that is designed to be cheap and easy to make yet still pack a punch. It has no hyperdrive, though some heavier models can be outfitted with them at the cost of speed and maneuverability. Its shields are slightly less than an XJ-wing though the speed is comparable. It is similar in maneuverability to the E-wing which allows it to stand a chance against some of the fighters fielded by the main Galaxy.
