The 3980 Gaduridos General Election were held in August, with all 750 seats in the Senate up for election. There was a 75.17% voter turnout. The election saw a challenge to the complete control of the Social Democrats that had been held since 3977: a sizable portion going to the Conservative Union; however, the Social Democrats kept their power within the Senate. The election also saw the entry of the Partito Monarchico, though they failed to make any electoral impact.
