Uncle Roger is Sheldon's uncle. He is mentioned in "The Engagement Reaction". According to Sheldon, Roger was in hospital and Sheldon's Aunt Ruth (who died in a hospital) came in to visit him, caught something and bit the dust a week later. The two of them now share a coffee can on Sheldon's mother's mantel.
