Mega Evolution (Japanese: メガシンカ Mega Evolution) is a new transformation found in the Kalos and Tashu regions. Mega Evolutions are identified by having "Mega" in front of their name. In order to undergo a Mega Evolution, the Pokémon must be holding the applicable Mega Stone. An item containing a Key Stone must be used to resonate with the Mega Stone held by their Pokémon to trigger Mega Evolution. In Pokémon Light and Darkness Versions, both Ricky and Carry use Mega Rings , while Raian uses a Mega Watch .
