(Star Trek: First Contact; Star Trek: Voyager various) The Borg's first contact with the Lyrans involved a Borg sphere as well as a Borg tactical sphere. (RIS Bouteina: "Sphere of Influence") In Starfleet Command III, Borg spheres were portrayed as the battle cruisers of the Borg armada.
