The Eagles improved upon their 8–8 record and fourth-place finish in the NFC East in the 2007 season by going 9–6–1 and earning the 6th seed in the NFC Playoffs. The team lost in the Conference Championship game. For head coach Andy Reid, this was his tenth season as the coach of the Eagles.
