Though the rifle excelled in this modified role, the Sith rarely put them to use as they preferred close-range combat. In 3956 BBY, Kebla Yurt of Kebla Yurt's Equipment Emporium had a Sith sniper rifle in her inventory priced at 1,500 credits. In the same year, at least one other was stored at the Sith Academy on Korriban.
