The European Economic Community, which existed from 1949 to 1962, was a European economic group that oversaw the economic integration of a post-Fifth Global War Europe. Spearheaded by the German Empire of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and especially their heads of state, King George VI and the Emperor Wilhelm III, and his successor, Louis Ferdinand I. Many industries during the 1950's were integrated within the European continent, including coal, steel, and petroleum, and it was these integrations that preceded the establishment of the European Confederation in 1963, and the eventual establishment of the European Federation in 1991.
