The Paris Tiara is a papal tiara given to Pope Leo XIII by the people of Paris in 1888 to commemorate his Golden Jubilee as a priest. It was designed and manufactured by François Désiré Froment-Meurice. As the image right shows, it featured in various paintings of Pope Leo and was heavily identified with him. It was valued at $250,000 in 1903.
