.hack//G.U. GAME MUSIC O.S.T. is the first of the two .hack//G.U. Game OSTs. Composed and arranged by Chikayo Fukuda of the original .hack games' soundtracks, the soundtrack follows a similar style to the original games. This can be seen in returning vocalist Tomoyo Mitani, who performs in several songs on this O.S.T., including the series theme song "Yasashii Ryoute". Both Japanese and English versions of the song are used in the series. She is sometimes accompanied by a male tenor, who is currently unknown. The soundtrack features a majority of the tracks featured in Vol.1 of .hack//G.U. and, unlike the original game soundtrack, is not a soundtrack for all four games. There are three discs included: a background music CD, a drama CD, and a bonus CD.
