It was a pre-simulated gravity design, relying on a rotating portion of the hull to give the crew a living area with more or less normal gravity. Its type ship, HMS Casey (CL-01), was the first RMN vessel to be fully modernized under King Edward I's refit and recruit initiative. This refit included a grav plate equipped habitation module, and the first railgun missile launchers in the RMN, which saw their first use in the battle against the Volsung Mercenaries. (HHA6.2: ACTA)
