The Toronto American was a newspaper in Toronto, Canada, North American Union. In the earliest hours of the morning after the theft of The Two Georges, a reporter for the paper disturbed Colonel Thomas Bushell's attempts to sleep by telephoning him for an interview. Bushell resignedly declined to do so but did tell him he would schedule a news conference for that afternoon.
