Talfryn Thomas (31st October, 1922-4th November, 1982) was a Welsh actor best known for his role as Pte. Cheeseman in the popular BBC sitcom Dad's Army from 1973 to 1974. On Coronation Street he played Dirty Dick from 1971 to 1972. Talfryn's other credits include Doctor Who, Hi-De-Hi!, The Onedin Line and Survivors.
