Butera V was a planet situated somewhere in the space of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants, the fifth planet in orbit of the Butera star system. Butera V was the location of a dilithium processing center managed by Starfleet. Aidan Thorn and Tarl Posset served together there as security officers. (DS9 novel: Saratoga)
