Anthony was the manager of the Weatherfield branch of supermarket Freshco. In supervising a photo shoot for an advertising campaign in July 2011, he cast Dylan Wilson and Marcus Dent when Marcus's boyfriend Sean Tully couldn't get time off work. On the photo shoot, Anthony took a shine to Marcus and when Sean skipped work and turned up, Anthony asked him to leave. Although Sean took the hint, Anthony's attitude caused Marcus to quit the shoot.
