The Hanover Herald was the newspaper of Hanover, Atlantis. It announced the safe arrival of the detective Athelstan Helms and his associate Doctor James Walton when the two traveled to Atlantis to assist the authorities in investigating a series of murders. During the course of the investigation, Helms poured over the files the newspaper had on The Preacher and the House of Universal Devotion which he gained access to through the assistance of Inspector La Strada.
