Echo-Three is the pilot of Marilyn, a VTOL named after a picture of actress Marilyn Monroe which was on the left side of Echo Three's much patched VTOL on the fuselage. On November 15th, 1951, 2nd Lt. Nathan Hale called Echo-Three in a request for extraction for himself, Sgt. Marvin Kawecki and Pvt. Jim Jasper from outside of Huron, South Dakota. Echo-Three appeared just in time to save only Kawecki and Hale (Jasper had died earlier in an ambush) from a pack of Howlers. After he had killed the Howlers from using Marilyn's mounted guns, Echo-Three found a Landing Zone where he extracted the two Sentinels and taking them back to SRPA 6 in Nebraska.
