Dwarves are a second-tier Rampart unit in Heroes of Might and Magic III. Their upgraded version is the battle dwarf. They may be recruited by building a Dwarf Cottage, which in turn requires the Centaur Stables to be built. A Miner's Guild may be built in order to increase the number of dwarves that are able to be recruited per week by four. As a slow, but sturdy defender, the dwarf is best kept in the town, so that it doesn't slow the army down. The magic resistance is very useful in battle.
