The "Ballad of the Wind Fish" is a song from The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. A favorite of Marin's, she teaches this song to Link on his Ocarina in Animal Village. The song, along with the eight Instruments of the Sirens, is needed to enter the Wind Fish's Egg and awaken the Wind Fish. Marin often refers to it as 'her song' and many of the inhabitants of both Mabe Village and Animal Village enjoy hearing her sing it. She asks Link never to forget it. Interestingly, the Pols Voice enemies found in the game are vulnerable to the song; if Link plays it while near one, it will self-destruct. The Wind Fish himself refers to this song as the 'Song of Awakening'.
