The Mammon Machine is a boss in Chrono Trigger that appears in the Black Omen. When magic is used, "Magic sacrificed to increase attack". When a physical attack, tech or not, is used, "Attack sacrificed to increase defense." If Frog is in the party, and he has the Masamune, a regular attach will absorb the power of the Mammon Machine, healing him and will NOT trigger "Attack sacrificed to increase defense." It has to be a regular attack because using techs will trigger "Attack sacrificed to increase defense."
