The Eagle Awards are an annual celebration of UK and international comics and their staff. Partly set up by Richard Burton, the Eagles were named after the UK comic of the same name. Although Sonic the Comic never reached the final round of voting, Sonic the Comic Online was nominated in the Favourite Web-Based Comic category, losing out to Penny Arcade. Individual contributors have rarely been nominated for an award; Annie Parkhouse was nominated for her lettering on two occasions and the late Tom Frame was nominated in the lettering and "roll of honour" categories.
