Paul Faust plays Paul Faust on The Office. The writers were not satisfied with the actors that had read for the part and remembered Paul from an informal visit to the set of The Office some time earlier. They called Paul to invite him to audition the day before shooting was scheduled to begin. He frantically filmed an audition, e-mailed it to the writers, and got the part twenty minutes later. The entire process from initial contact to completion of filming took less than twenty-four hours. Paul Faust runs the real company 1-800-PREPARE. Paul Faust's wife is a cousin of writer Paul Lieberstein.
