Yvonne Jeffries (née ?edit) is a fictional character on Shortland Street. She is the receptionist at the Shortland Street Hospital. Yvonne and her husband Ian moved from their quiet country orchard to the bustling environs of Ferndale when Ian was diagnosed with the debilitating Motor Neurone Disease. He then had news that this was a misdiagnosis and he actually had Kennedy's Disease. Until recently, Yvonne had a fear of worms, but she has now conquered it. She is portrayed by Alison Quigan.
