The Mindflayer, also known as Mind Flare or Mind Mage, is an enemy in Final Fantasy V. Only appearing in the Interdimensional Rift, it is frequently seen with the Crystelle. Mindflayers will almost always counter any physical attack with the Blue Magic spell Mind Blast, which is, in fact, its special attack. Necromancers can learn Drain Touch by defeating it.
