Binding Shield (捕縛盾(バインディングシールド) Baindingu Shīrudo) is a [[:Special:Ask/-5B-5BCategory:Spells-5D-5D-20-5B-5Bspell-20category::-5D-5D-20-5B-5Bspell-20type::-5D-5D|shield-type]] defensive spell combining the elements of Chain Bind, cast by Nanoha Takamachi in ViVid. As commented by Subaru, it is Nanoha's sure-win pattern to block cross-range attacks. In StrikerS manga special chapter After Days, Nanoha uses a combination of Round Shield at the front and likely Hoop Bind from the sides, known as "zero-distance bind", against Signum. It is likely where the idea of Binding Shield comes from.
