Sok-pal was a grabbing maneuver in the Vulcan martial art V'Shan. Dar Ableen, an ahn-was in the V'Shan, was able to use a modified sok-pal grab on Izar Peace Officer Christine Vale in 2366, while pretending to turn over his sidearm, and from there got Vale into a dangerous rol-shaya grip.
