One of the twelve guardians of Yakushi-Nyorai, who each possesses an aspect of the Twelve Sacred Animals from Chinese calendar. Kumbhira represents the Rat and is usually portrayed as a humanoid armored yellow rat, armed with a vajra. He is also the leader of the group.
