After reading the story during his Starfleet Academy field study, Nog's only comment on the story was that Jake's spelling was incorrect. Nog had therefore taken it upon himself to change some linguistic elements of the story, such as punctuation and prepositions. (DS9: "The Ascent") It is unknown whether Jake reverted the story to its earlier form or kept Nog's changes.
