Polyglandular autoimmune syndrome, also known as autoimmune polyendocrine syndrome, is a group of autoimmune diseases that usually affect the endocrine system, although they can affect other systems as well. Like many other autoimmune conditions, its cause is unknown, but the treatment is steroids.
