Being adopted, Tara's memories show she learned her toddler skills from the Mystery Sim, who is usually used for player-created Sims who are young adults or older. If a family adopts a child in-game, though, they will not have memories of learning their toddler skills, or any other memories of their birth parents. Strangely enough, Tara is just short from becoming friends with her father's ex-wife, Jessica Peterson. When the family is first played, Tara is 15 days from being an adult.
