Orancala → German. Orancala is an Oware variant created by the Dutch game inventor Sjaak Griffioen on July 12, 2006. He showed his game at the game inventor's convention "Spiel und Autor" in Göttingen (Germany) the same year. Sjaak is best known for his games Cityscape and Take Away. The Orancala board is shaped like an orange, hence its name. The game was commercialized in 2010 as Florancala by Gerhards Spiel und Design in Germany. Its board looks like a flower with 12 petals.
