When accompanying Professor Werner Von Croy on his Asia expedition in 1984, Lara Croft discovers golden skulls scattered throughout Angkor Wat. Collecting all eight of these skulls has Von Croy take the Path of the Heretical. If Lara did not collect all skulls then Von Croy will choose the Route of the Virtuos instead. Both routes lead to their prize, the Iris.
