Dragonquest is volume 2 of the Dragonriders of Pern trilogy. It begins seven years after the events of Dragonflight. Conflicts between the Oldtimers and the Holders and Craftsmen under their protection have been growing, and the people of Pern demand a more permanent solution to Thread. The Fire-lizards have also been rediscovered, and are growing increasingly popular.
