Eileen Hughes was a bus conductor who worked with Harry Hewitt. In 1961, she fought with Florrie Lindley for Harry's affections and drove him to distraction when he was competing for the Rovers darts team against Eileen's team. On Harry's birthday, Eileen visited while Harry was enjoying a birthday dinner with Florrie and his daughter Lucille, much to Florrie's chagrin. Despite Eileen and Florrie's attempts to catch his eye, Harry was not actually attracted to either woman. Future Fawlty Towers actress Prunella Scales played the part of Eileen.
