A progenitor race on the planet Maltus evolved the conscious control of their bodies, allowing them to extend their lifetimes to millions of years. However, their offspring lacked the maturity to use their abilities wisely, leading to the destruction of the ecology of Maltus. The only alternative was to stop breeding and they went so far as to live in separate city-states. The males inhabited a polar city named Aps, while the females lived in the city Zamar. They managed to preserve their population which had spiraled out of control. They decided to abandon Maltus forever and it was the Zamaron ancestor known as Teisho who selected their new home; a planet in the centre of the Universe.
