Arkos Rakton was a human male spy serving the Alliance to Restore the Republic in the Galactic Empire's Imperial Navy. He managed to infiltrate the elite Black Eight Squadron, and there was some evidence that he planned to defect to the Empire. However, before he could do so, Darth Vader found out and fellow squad member Marek Vaiken Stele killed him by destroying his TIE/ln starfighter. He was commended by Alliance High Command, and by the Rebel heads of intelligence, the Bothan High Command, for bravery after they heard of his death. The New Republic named an intelligence outpost on Vulpter after him, known as the Rakton Intelligence Center.
