CC-2785, known better as Lion was a Clone commander during the Clone Wars and one of the commanding officers of the 44th Special Forces Division. Tasked with leading the regiment when the General, Jedi Master Jeden Vesal, was away with his personal squad, Nightingale Squad (who were also in the 44th), Lion was much closer to the men of the 44th than anyone else, and while he was not always the most likable commander in the Grand Army of the Republic, he was most certainly one of the most respected.
