John Lecarte was an agent of the Department of Metaphysical Affairs. His first name is taken from John Morris and his last name is based on Eric Lecarde, both from Castlevania. He made his first appearance in Up to Code, in which he inspected Vlad's castle. After deciding to fine Vlad, he was killed by a spiked pillar that slammed down on him from the ceiling. In Familiar Faces, it is revealed that he is in Hell, and that he is the librarian at the Library of the Damned.
