The Canadian Working Group on Electronic Commerce and Consumers was a multi-stakeholder group representing consumers, businesses and government (including the Office of Consumer Affairs (OCA)) used the Guidelines as a reference to assist in developing the "Principles of Consumer Protection for Electronic Commerce: A Canadian Framework." The Working Group is now the Consumer Protection in E-Commerce Working Group.
