Usually the bugler is attached to a light infantry unit or a cavalry unit. The drummer will be attached to Line Infantry regiments, and both roles share the same skin. The drummer would play the drum while the line infantry are marching, and the bugler would play the bugle when a light infantry unit or a calvary unit will move.
