The Haunted Planet was a world used by Zentor as his base. He created the legends about the planet as a cover for his real plans. The First Doctor had heard of these legends, and though he had doubts about them, he still feared that he would one day visit that world. These fears came true when he arrived on the Haunted Planet in the TARDIS with John and Gillian. After crossing a swamp, a forest (where they were attacked by bats) and another marsh, they found a futuristic castle. Inside they found ghosts, animated suits of armour and Zentor. He revealed his plans to them and tried to kill them, but was killed himself when he mistook the Doctor for a ghost. (COMIC: The Haunted Planet)
