The Turks are an elite society of henchmen devoted to Shinra and supporting antagonists in Final Fantasy VII, standing in opposition to AVALANCHE - a resistance group set up to try and combat Shinra and its oppressive takeover of large parts of the world. The Turks were quite happy to comply with orders even if it meant kidnap, murder or worse - doing as Shinra commanded without question and they ran into Cloud and the main group several times during the length of the story.
