Gilim was the giant of Winter. Supposedly a unique being from Valinor who sired the Frost or Ice Giants in Middle-earth.Some believed him to have once been an elemental Spirit of Cold, but other than his brothers who became Morgoths Ice-demons, Gilim refused to serve any Lord and became a lone embodyment of the eternal cold.
