Kóris is the Diadochian goddess of hunting, virginity, cats, wild animals and the wilderness. Originally known as Bastet she served as a warrior deity an there is even a modern city in Diadochia bearing the name Bubastis. She was considered the protectress of children; especially female children. Along side her twin brother Phoebus she could inflict both disease and swift death on women and girls; her brother dealing with males.
