The Ernedin, or Archetypes, are primordial beings in the Elvish mythology of northern Ellador. It is said that there was one of every race, indeed one of every kind of creature that walks the earth, with the Most High at the beginning of the world. These beings lived out the normal lifespans of their kinds and then went on to their spiritual position in the world accordingly. The Human leads the dead to the afterlife, the Dwarf collects their unpaid debts, and the Elf is said to still live on, being the single densest point of knowledge in the whole world. He is known in the singular as the Arnaden or Arnden, or I Arnaden in Northern Elladorin.
