The wolf plagued Granny's village every Wolfstime, creating problems for Granny herself through such acts as slaughtering all her chickens - twice. Eventually it strikes truly at the heart of the villagers by ravaging Amos Slade to death, causing the cancellation of the Forget-Me-Not ball. When Violet Roberts attempts to hold her own, the wolf attacks her, and Red shows up and shoots it with her special silver-tipped arrow. It goes down, and Red is paraded as a hero.
