Built with speed in mind the Shadow Frigate is the second third generation starship built by the Confederacy. Seeing a growing need for faster vessels to stay ahead of the curve Wild Star Ship Design came up with the Shadow which can handle both starfighters and smaller vessels much like other frigates within its class. What separates the Shadow from the normal frigates is ability to take more pounding with its advanced shielding and hull along with being able to carry more fighters then standard frigates.
