Tautine was a location famous for its rings. In 2369, Q hoped to tempt Amanda Rogers with the possibilities of embracing her origins in the Q Continuum. He told her she could have whatever she wanted instantly, such as precious jewels, works of art, or even walking along the rings of Tautine. Rogers wasn't interested in any of his suggestions. (TNG: "True Q" ) This location was only mentioned in dialogue. This line of dialogue may have served as the inspiration for the novel The Rings of Tautee.
