Prince Regent Lane is a road in the London Borough of Newham. The road was constructed in the early Nineteenth Century during the regency of the future King George IV, hence its name. The road, numbered as the A112, runs from Barking Road in Plaistow to the bank of the River Thames near the ExCeL Centre. It follows part of an older road, Marsh Lane, and when built linked a cross-river ferry to Charlton. The ferry was later replaced by a new service at Woolwich.
