Enrak Grof was a male Trill scientist. Grof had once applied to host a Trill symbiont but his application was denied by a field docent. In 2373, Grof was on Deep Space 9 when the Dominion War started and was studying the Bajoran wormhole as part of research into creating an artificial wormhole. When the Dominion occupied Deep Space 9 and were unable to use the Bajoran wormhole to bring reinforcements from the Gamma Quadrant, Grof offered to design a verteron collider to generate an artificial wormhole.
